RescueMe 5k Team

  • It's time to get organized for the fourth annual RescueMe 5k! We need willing team members to help raise awareness and participation, as well as help with the behind-the-scenes logistics. Most communication is carried out via email with the team, however, we do usually meet in person about once a month as a team to stay on pace and work together.

Pet Palooza - April 21st

  • Join us to support our friends at the Humane Society of Charlotte for their annual Pet Palooza Festival. We will set up a tent and table with information about APBF, merchandise, and a raffle item for visitors. We are looking for volunteers to talk with participants about responsible dog ownership, to promote Pit Bull type dogs, to hand out goodie bags, and to help recruit additional volunteers. The event takes place at Independence Park off of 7th street. Black APBF Volunteer shirts are preferred attire.

Outreach - Fence Builds Spring 2018

Outreach - Fence Builds w/ Humane Society of Charlotte March/April/May 2018

  • Over the next several months we are continuing to team up with the HSC Pets for Life team to build fences for chained dogs. This is a great opportunity to get involved with Outreach! If you have not participated in a fence build prior, meeting time is 30 minutes prior to the listed time at the Humane Society of Charlotte on Toomey Avenue. If you have participated in fence builds prior, please arrive at the time listed on the signup. Please wear weather-appropriate and durable clothing and close-toed shoes. Kids 15 and up may participate. Please be punctual! You must watch the Outreach Orientation Video prior to participating and have read and agreed to the waiver. If you have questions ahead of time, please email Neya at neya@apbf.dog.

One Word Project

  • We are conducting a brief social volunteer experiment and we need your help with - or - your "word" rather. Tell us what one word comes to mind most when you think of your volunteer service for others.
